Hi and welcome to another issue of the Hugi magazine!
Two years have passed since Hugi #37. In the course of this time we released Hugi Special Edition #4, which is an updated and revised version of the Coding Digest combined with a collection of MP3 music from a couple of the past issues of Hugi. In April 2014, when Revision was held yet again in Saarbrücken, Germany, we also released a headlines demo together with Nah-Kolor, which participated in the demo competition and was well acclaimed by the audience (though it did not score high). This demo presented some of the headlines that appear in this issue of Hugi, for you to be read.
We have conducted interviews with people such as Navis of ASD, Prince of The Obsessed Maniacs and the new Swiss demo group Horology that had a great success at several demoparties in the past years. We also talked with several oldschool Amiga sceners, and there are articles dealing with the C64 demoscene in this issue as well. Furthermore, you will be able to read party reports from Revision 2014, Function 2012 and 2013, Sunrise 2011, Sundown 2012 and 2013, Nordlicht 2012 and 2013. Optimus reports about the CPC scene yet again, and we have making-of reports of Gaia Machine and Still Rising in this issue. Also, two prominent writers from the Amiga days, Parsec and Lord Helmet (yes, it is really him), have contributed columns to this issue of the Hugi magazine.
As you have already seen we have managed to gather great graphics again, made by people such as Prince, Forcer and Slayer, accompanied by pieces of music by people such as Chaser, Xerxes and Siatek. I want to thank all these great people for their outstanding work. Also, I want to express my gratefulness to Chris Dragan whose Panorama engine we are still using, with the enhancements and updates T$ recently made.
Great kudos go to Magic for his enthusiasm and commitment, without which Hugi would probably no longer be released.
All of us are full-blown grown-ups meanwhile, even the younger ones, and we have made diverse experiences in life which have helped us learn and grow mature. Still, we have remained true to our hobbies, and I hope that Hugi #38 is going to make you have a great time.
